When you first get in touch, we will discuss your topic and what you are hoping to achieve. I will then send you an information pack with a brief questionnaire to complete. Next, we will agree a coaching programme. A coaching programme will set out objectives, the number of sessions, and preferred location. It would normally consist of between 3 and 5 sessions for something specific like decision-making but for support through a transition, a longer programme may be more suitable. Coaching sessions are generally 1 to 1.5 hours each and typically held monthly, although this may need to be varied if an issue needs urgent resolution.
We will meet either face to face at a pre-agreed location or set up a video call. A topic of discussion is agreed up front. Coach will then ask a series of open-ended questions to explore the topic in detail. Questions will be tailored to your specific needs. The questions will often include exploration of your situation, understanding any barriers or enablers to progress, or investigating options for the future. The session will end with clear agreed next steps. A small amount of homework is often set to encourage reflection on focus areas.
